Overview
This user manual is intended to describe the functionality available to Partners (hereafter referred to as “Merchants”) within the PXP Backend Administration Tool (“PS Admin”).
1.1 What can I do in PS Admin?
The PS Admin is a secure web interface which allows you as Merchant to access your payment information in an easy-to-use and understand format. Using the PS Admin, you can:
- View the current state of any submitted payment,
- View Merchant & Shop specific risk management checks,
- Whitelist/Blacklist users and payment accounts,
- Create refunds or cancel payments,
- Access detailed reconciliation and settlement reports,
- View payment batches,
1.2 Terminology
- Agent: An individual authorized either by PXP or the Merchant to access the payment system.
- Merchant: Normally represents an entity which provides a product/service within a specific product category/industry, under a specific brand.
- Payment: A transaction represented in the PXP system. Each Payment is triggered by a User or Agent.
- Payment Provider: A bank or other institution providing or issuing services for electronic transactions. PXP connects to payment providers on behalf of Merchants to execute Payments.
- Shop: The shop is a single point of sale for the Merchant. For an e-commerce entity, this corresponds to a specific URL. One Merchant can have several shops, e.g. representing different brands or countries.
- State: Each payment moves through a series of states as it progresses from initial request to execution, each of which represents the status of the transaction.
- User: The payer, known as the “customer”, of the good or service being offered by the Merchant. The user will in turn provide the Merchant with funds (or expected to be refunded by the Merchant in certain situations). This transaction can take various forms, such as a bank transfer, credit or debit card transaction, or e-wallet purchase.
2. Navigation
Usage of PS Admin has been designed to be as simple as possible. All tools are accessed via a familiar folder, with file structure found in many operating systems:
The menu selections available to each Agent will depend upon their access privileges, limiting their view of the complete structure. The file “tree” may be expanded or collapsed using the controls above, and the navigation panel may be minimized to increase the viewing area within the Admin. In the header of the page there is a possibility to change the time zone.
3. Payments
Here you can find all transactions which have ever reached the PXP System, independent of the success direction or any states of the transactions. The search mask was created to find transactions even with limited information. Below you can see the general search mask with an explanation of each search field.

4. Payment Details View
Selecting any payment clicking on the bold area in the column ServicePaymentID or State will direct the agent to the Payment View page.
On this page, you have all details regarding a specific payment and some details on the user available.

States
This section lists all states the payment has passed through in chronological order. A useful feature is the ability of the agent to view the technical communication associated with each state change; here messages from the payment provider can be viewed and be used while troubleshooting
Actions
If any actions (payment state changes) can be performed on this payment by the Agent, they are selectable in the drop-down list here, along with a comment box “Remark” describing the reason for the action, the contents of which are saved in the “Description” field for the new state. The actions available are particularly important when considering Credit Card Payments.
Note: Cancellation is also applicable for other non-Credit Card Payments e.g. e-wallets.
