What is ARN?

ARN stands for Acquirer Reference Number. It is a unique reference number assigned to a transaction by the acquiring bank or payment processor when the card transaction is processed.

Purpose:

The ARN helps in tracking a transaction through its various stages, from authorization to settlement. It is especially useful when handling chargebacks, disputes, or refunds, allowing all parties to reference and trace the transaction.

The ARN can be used by merchants, payment processors, customers, and banks to track the status of a transaction, resolve any disputes, or confirm refund details.

How to find the ARN?

  1. Login to the Payment Service Portal.
  2. Locate the card transaction and click on the Payment ID.
  3. Check the PaymentAdditionalDetails and find the ARN Number

Please ask the customer to contact their bank regarding the transaction by providing the ARN.
